Cox Adjusts Louisiana Operations Due to Coronavirus Emergency Orders, Expands Low Income Internet Offering

March 23, 2020, LOUISIANA – Cox announced today that it is adjusting operations in its metro Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Lafayette service areas in light of the growing coronavirus pandemic and emergency orders issued by the State and local governing bodies. Despite these changes, Cox is committed to continuing to provide critical services to local homes, while keeping our employees, customers and communities safe.

Accelerated Reader – It is extremely important that students are reading every day.  Consider reading 30 minutes each day.  Use MackinVia to read books online.

IXL – Consider working in the Diagnostic Arena, Recommendations from the Diagnostic Arena, and Recommendations from Teachers.  Students should seek to earn a Smart Score of 80 or higher for the Diagnostic Recommendations and the Teacher Recommendations.  A Smart Score of 80 represents Proficiency, 90 represents Excellence and 100 represents Mastery.

Woodlawn Middle School's Counseling program has met the criteria to become a Recognized ASCA Model Program by the American School Counselor Association.   The RAMP designation is valid for five years through the 2023-2024 school year.   Thank you for being committed to delivering a comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program by becoming a Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP).
